VICE ADMIRAL (R) MUHAMMAD SHAFIQ SATTI - HILAL-E-IMTIAZ (M) - SITARA-E-IMTIAZ (M)


Muhammad Shafiq Satti was retired as Vice Chief of Naval Staff from Pakistan Navy. At present he is a Rector of Bahria University, Islamabad.

He was commissioned in the Operations Branch of Pakistan Navy in June 1977. The vice admiral has served on many important command and staff appointments including 2nd in command of a destroyer, command of Naval Air Wing and Naval Aviation. His major staff appointments include deputy director at JSHQ, director maritime affairs at NHQ, DDG PMSA, drafting authority, directing staff at National Defense University, chief inspector (Navy) and deputy chief of naval staff (Projects-2).

His professional courses include naval command and staff course from Indonesia and armed forces war course from National Defense University (NDU), Islamabad. He holds MSc (War Studies) degree from Quaid-i-Azam University.

In recognition of his services, he has been awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military).

COMMODORE (R) MUMTAZ RAZA SATTI - SITARA-E-IMTIAZ (M)

Commodore (R) Mumtaz Raza Satti (Late) was an Educationist, who had vast experience of management of education and training at all levels from elementary to setting up of college and universities for higher Education. He had been extensively involved in faculty training, students career counselling and HR induction/Management. He hailed from Kotli Sattian.

Ex registrar of The University of Islamabad and Shifa Tameer-e-Millat university. He was appointed founding Registrar of Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University in August 2012, and actively participated in university vision for launching new academic programs consisting of Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Pharmacy, MBA (Health Service Management), M.Sc Nursing, B.Sc (MLT), BS (Medical Technology) and diploma programs in Specialized Nursing.


Mumtaz Raza Satti served as registrar of Bahria University, Islamabad from August 2005 to October 2011. He was team member for raising Bahria University from scratch involving preparation of feasibility for academic and civil works, preparation of university Ordinance, university Statutes and Academic Regulations.


He had been member of the Board of Governors of Bahria University since its inception in February 2000.

Extensive experience of conducting interviews for selection of faculty, preparation of their employment contracts and other terms and conditions of service.


He served as assistant chief of Naval staff from August 2004 to August 2005. He dealt with educational and training matters of Pakistan Navy Engineering College Karachi, Pakistan Naval Academy Karachi and other training units of Pakistan Navy.

Mumtaz Raza was principal of Bahria College, Islamabad from August 1997 to September 2004. He raised O/A level section of Bahria College Islamabad with all related resources including building, laboratories and induction of faculty.

​Effectively managed all sections of Bahria College including Montessori, pre-school, primary, secondary and higher secondary of both boys and girls.

​Established state of the art special children school through donations which now houses more than 200 special students.


He served as a Dean of Pakistan Navy college, NUST, Karachi as well.

BRIGADIER (R) SULTAN MAHMOOD SATTI (SITARA-E-IMTIAZ)






Brigadier (R) Sultan Mahmood Satti is currently a managing director of IT Butler e-services, and ex president of Islamabad Athletics association. He was awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) for his 35 years of outstanding service and unwavering dedication.

His profound understanding of international business stems from his involvement in over-seas operations. His appointments in Qatar, as Communication and Administrative Adviser to the Chief (Armed Forces); and visits to various business hubs such as China and Germany facilitated his deep knowledge of the global business arena, making him uniquely qualified to fuel the expansion and development of IT Butler.

Brig, Satti earned his Bachelors in Electric Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore, Pakistan. His career in Telecommunication (Technical) Management extends to over 22 years & involves the administration of complex projects including the set-up for Fiber Optics, Satellite Communication and Troop Scatter. He has a Masters degree in War Studies and Joint War Studies from Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad.

Brig Satti attended the School of Artillery in Fort sill – Oklahoma, USA for a Staff Officers Course in Communication Electronic. He was responsible for the establishment of Microwave Towers/ Communication and Permanent Line in the Northern Areas of Pakistan and parts of Sindh and Punjab.

His experience encompasses expertise in Managerial and Marketing Administration. Brig Satti was appointed Director Policy Planning and Development, responsible for dealing with promotional and marketing activities. He was the Head of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) of Bahawalpur, Lahore and DG Khan. He was also responsible for the revamping of WAPDA Punjab and organizing an establishment in Sindh for “Anti Car Lifting”. He was also the Head (Commandant) of the oldest Telecomm & Software Engineering Institution for PhD and Graduate programs run by National University of Science and Technology (NUST).

Along with his professional accomplishments, Brig Satti funds a Non – Profit Organization “Ali Shan Satti Trust” for the prosperity and growth of his home town Kotli Sattian. He is also involved with various other charity programs and organizations.
